Al-Mansour University College organizes an awareness symposium on the role of the media in combating crime Al-Mansour University College organized an awareness symposium on the role of the media in combating crime among young people on Saturday, November 18, in the presence of Professor Dr. Sabah Mohammad Kallow, Dean of the College, his assistants, and a number of department heads, faculty members, and students. At the symposium, Brigadier General Mohammad Kadhum Mansour from the Ministry of Interior presented research entitled: (The decline in the level of education and its impact on the security situation in Iraq), explaining the variables and causes that contribute to the circumstances of the crime and its increase, emphasizing the impact of education in crime prevention. Prof. Dr. Ali Abdul Hadi Al-Karkhi from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research spoke about the role of the media in combating crime, how to cover crimes and develop solutions and treatments. The two researchers presented important proposals about cooperation between the legal, security, and media authorities in educating young people and protecting them against crime. The researchers presented, and the symposium was moderated by Professor Dr. Abdul Sattar Shaker Salman, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs. The topic of the symposium was discussed among the researchers, teachers, and students present, and then the esteemed Dean of the College awarded certificates of appreciation to the participants.
