The Vision, Mission and Objectives of the Department of Anesthesia Techniques

Vision

The Department of Anesthesia Techniques aspires to be one of the leading departments within the higher education system in Iraq in the educational and research fields, which contributes effectively to improving society and providing it with productive and creative energies by teaching the student the basic theoretical information in the field of anesthesia and intensive care, along with practical training to acquire the necessary skills and experience that qualify him to work in hospitals in the future as an anesthesia technician at a high level.

Objectives

The department aims to prepare a distinguished type of graduates at a high level who have an academic background and are equipped with the basic skills necessary to meet the needs of society. The department is also keen to support the mental excellence of students while adhering to maintaining professional ethics and professional values of health professionals and focusing on developing individual skills and experiences to ensure a better career future. To achieve this, the department is keen to advance students to be familiar with the devices used in anesthesia and resuscitation and clinical monitoring devices and how to use them, and to be able to distinguish the tools and supplies used in clinical interventions in anesthesia and intensive care and know their importance, characteristics and how to use them, while providing them with the knowledge required to identify urgent problems in anesthesia and intensive care by participating with the medical team in treating them effectively.

Providing high-quality education in an appropriate educational environment to keep pace with the development taking place in the field of specialization, which is reflected in building the student to be highly qualified to meet the requirements of the labor market in the public and private sectors, which puts the department in a position that qualifies it to create new job opportunities to support the community and participate effectively in technology transfer.

As for the student, the department aspires for the student to obtain the initial knowledge and skills in anesthesia and intensive care techniques, which enhances his self-confidence and instills a spirit of cooperation within him to appreciate the importance of teamwork within the medical team and realize the extent of the human and moral responsibilities that he must bear.
