Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Nofal Abu Ragheef, the esteemed Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, the Iraqi Association for Libraries and Information, in cooperation with Al-Mansour University College, was established on Sunday (27-3-2022).
The annual creativity festival and the twelfth book fair under the slogan (Book is food for the soul)
On the corridors of Al-Mansour University College, with the participation of many important Iraqi and Arab publishing houses such as (Dar Al-Mamoun for translation, House of Children’s Culture and Enki Publishing Foundation), as well as the participation of the Palestinian exhibition of cartoons and in the presence of His Excellency the representative of the State of Palestine
And also an important and international participation of Professor Thaer Abdul Razzaq, the sponsor of the Arab Healing Meeting Festival. The Bass Iraqi team (the handicraft exhibition) and a number of college students participated in displaying their creative and artistic products (such as an exhibition of photography and an exhibition of drawings and paintings).
The opening ceremony included the participation of the General Union of Artists and Media Rights in a Sumerian and Babylonian fashion show and a tour held by His Excellency the Under-Minister in the presence of the Dean and his assistants for scientific and administrative affairs, His Excellency the representative of the State of Palestine, many faculty members and affiliates, a group of college guests and students to view the book fair, handicrafts and art exhibitions, and at the end of the ceremony His Excellency the Undersecretary, the representative of the State of Palestine, and the patron of the Festival of Meeting the Brothers were honored with the Society’s shield. His Excellency encouraged the Dean of the College and the Iraqi Association for Libraries and Information to hold festivals, learn about the creativity of students and encourage them, so beside them their studies and their superiority, we also note the beauty of what their hands have made, as well as urged cooperation to build bridges of communication with all institutions The ministry, which perpetuates the scientific and cultural movement in our dear Iraq.
