Within the framework of openness to scientific research centers, the Department of Communications Engineering in our college organized a scientific trip for the department’s students to the Ministry of Science and Technology / Communications Research Center. Assistant Professor Dr. Rifaat Talib Hussein, Head of the Department of Communications Engineering, stated that the new vision of the Deanship of the College believes that the successful engineer does not have to memorize information. More than being an effective user of it, the department's orientation has become towards direct and interactive learning with experts in the field of specialization, which provides an essential link with applied fields that go beyond methodological books and laboratory experiments to extend to research fields with direct application in society. In line with our engineering mission, we believe that practical training and applied laboratories not only provide a deep understanding of scientific foundations but also encourage logical and practical thinking skills that are necessary for the practical life of an engineer. Assistant lecturer Naba Ahmed Nouri, a teacher in the department, stated that the aim of this visit is to introduce students to communications center technology that It is subject to continuous and advanced improvements and innovations and learning about the center’s departments, computer programs, and other electronic technologies. During the visit, the students were briefed on the center’s departments and various communications devices, and the students were introduced to the basics of communications systems.
