On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Deanship of Al-Mansour University College, in cooperation with the Iraqi Association for Libraries and Information and the Women’s Empowerment Unit, held a ceremony in honor of the college’s conference hall. The ceremony included many events. Professor Dr. Abdul Sattar Shaker Salman, President of the Iraqi Association for Libraries and Information, delivered a speech on the occasion, praising the role of Iraqi women and their contributions to society, congratulating them on their anniversary, which was filled with a journey of struggle and achievements. Professor Dr. Sabah Muhammad Kallow, Dean of the College, expressed in his speech his pride in the woman, sister, mother, daughter, and wife, his man’s partner praised the ladies present who represent the faculty and administrative staff of the college. The ladies present spoke about their experiences in life and their success stories.
The great Iraqi poet Daoud Al-Ghannam singled out our college by dedicating a poem to women. The ceremony included many artistic activities.
After the celebration, all women working at the college were honored.
