As part of scientific field activities to enhance the applied aspects of the curriculum, the Digital Media Department at Al-Mansour University College organized a scientific visit to the Iraqi National Museum on Wednesday, October 30th, under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Falhi, the Department's head, and some lecturers and students from the department.
The visit included a tour of the museum halls to view the archaeological and cultural holdings that embody the creativity of the Iraqi people and their cultural achievements throughout their ancient history.
The lecturers and students saw the precious archaeological treasures dating back to prehistoric times, then the civilizations of Assyria, Babylon, Sumer, Akkad, and the Islamic eras, which confirmed to the young generation the value of what their ancestors accomplished and what they presented to humanity of immortal achievements represented in the invention of writing, the wheel, sculpture, seals, laws and codes that tell the story of the giving of the Iraqi people.
During the visit, the students took notes, took pictures, and benefited from the explanation provided by the museum staff. They are preparing media reports on the civilization of Mesopotamia and publishing them through digital media.
