In collaboration with the Computer Science Department at the University of Technology and the Iraqi Libraries and Information Association with academic sponsorship and active participation, Al-Mansour University College organized the fourth scientific forum for outstanding graduation projects, the forum, held in the halls of Al-Mansour University College, was held under the slogan "Empowering Youth: Our Goal Towards Achieving Sustainable Development Goals."
Al-Mansour College reviewed that Dr. Sabah Kalo presented the forum's shield in honor of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, the President of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate, Dr. Ali Meseer and the Dean of Imam Al-Kadhim College, Prof. Dr. Abdul Jalil Manshid, in appreciation of their efforts in supporting the academic process.
Al-Mansour added that the forum included a tour for attendees of the graduation projects on display, which varied in their fields, including computer engineering, communications engineering, civil engineering, medical device technologies, computer science, artificial intelligence, law, English language, management, economics and physical therapy techniques, these projects were distinguished by the quality of their presentations and their connection to the themes of sustainable development.
The college also reviewed that the forum witnessed competition among participants for 23 scientific awards, as well as an award for the best research in the field of sustainable development, amid widespread praise for the scientific level of the presented research, which addressed contemporary issues such as the uses of artificial intelligence, renewable energy, drones, and the environment, as well as qualitative research in the health sector.
Al-Mansour highlighted that the conclusion of the forum witnessed delivering certificates of appreciation to participants and supervisors from 36 Iraqi universities and colleges, the recommendations also emphasized the importance of expanding participation to include universities from outside Iraq in future editions of the forum, to consolidate the goals of scientific cooperation and intellectual openness.
It is worth to be mentioned that the ceremony was attended by prominent academic figures, including President of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate, Dr. Ali Meseer Yassin, Dean of Al-Mansour University College, Prof. Dr. Sabah Muhammad Kalo and Dean of Imam Al-Kadhim College (PBUH), Prof. Dr. Abdul Jalil Munshed Khalaf along with a number of faculty member and students from various public and private universities and colleges.
