Al-Mansour University College Launches Pioneering Experiment in Using Clean Energy to Protect Technical Infrastructure

The Dean of Al-Mansour University College, Prof. Dr. Sabah Mohammed Karim Kalo announced the successful implementation of a clean energy system using solar cells to generate direct current electricity for one of the college's most important buildings, which houses central servers and a group of Cisco laboratories, this pioneering step confirms Al-Mansour University College's commitment to the principles of environmental sustainability and technological development.
The Dean reviewed that work on this system began in September 2022 and continues to provide stable, uninterrupted electrical power, this ensures data integrity and protects sensitive devices from any disruption resulting from power outages, in addition to achieving tangible economic savings.
Dr. Sabah also reviewed that the college is continuing to expand this experiment to include other academic buildings, emphasizing that this move toward alternative energy is in line with the academic institution's commitment to contribute to environmental conservation, reduce traditional energy consumption and advocate for a new energy approach adopted by all educational and governmental institutions.
