Economic Freedom in Islam: The Department of Accounting and Banking Sciences Opens a New Knowledge Horizon for Its Students

The Department of Accounting and Banking Sciences organized a scientific seminar titled "Development and Economic Freedom in Islam." The event was held in the presence of the Deanship of Al-Mansour University College, along with a select group of faculty members and students. This academic activity aimed to interpret economic concepts through a contemporary lens rooted in Islamic thought.

The seminar was introduced by the Head of the Department, Assist. Prof. Dr. Hussein Ajlan, who discussed the evolution of economic theories and methods to employ them in building a balanced society founded on justice and development. Furthermore, the seminar’s lecture was delivered by Lecturer Maysoon Abdul Ghani, who presented an analytical perspective on the principles of economic freedom in Islam. She highlighted its role in protecting property, regulating the market, and achieving growth, while shedding light on the connection between these principles and the concepts of social justice and sustainability.

The seminar witnessed remarkable interaction from the students, who raised questions and engaged in discussions that added a practical dimension to the topic. This engagement reflects the Department’s commitment to fostering critical thinking and consolidating economic knowledge within a dynamic educational environment.
