On Wednesday, 11-29-2023, the activities of the Siblings Meeting Festival, in its twentieth edition, for various hobbies and crafts, were launched from the International Railway Station in Baghdad and continued for three days. The festival is considered the most significant cultural, artistic, heritage, and tourism event. It aims to build bridges of communication between amateurs from Baghdad and the rest of the governorates of Iraq and the Arab countries. Al-Mansour University College participated in a distinguished pavilion that included dozens of artistic and handmade works produced by college students... and a book exhibition held by the Iraqi Association for Libraries and Information. On the sidelines of the festival, the Al-Mansour newspaper, published by the Digital Media Department of our college, was distributed, and it won the admiration of many participants in the festival. The attendees interacted extensively with the activities presented by our students and their content, in addition to their admiration for a number of non-technical initiatives presented by the Deanship of the College and the Iraqi Association of Libraries by donating books and scientific resources to many public libraries in Iraq. The festival included a display of textile industries, the manufacture of traditional clothing, accessories, and jewelry, a display of collections of postage stamps and plastic paintings, as well as ceramic works, sculpture, miniature making, honey preparation, and vegetable oils, and a display of posters, books, publications, and flower making. These events were accompanied by theatrical and sports performances, chants, chants, and poetic poems that sang of the love of Iraq. Participation was not limited to amateurs only but extended to include Iraqi universities and institutes, civil society organizations, and state departments and institutions, as well as the formations of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the Ministry of Education and the Interior.
