Al-Mansour University College & Middle Technical University Ink Twinning Agreement to Enhance Academic Cooperation

Al-Mansour University College, represented by its Dean, Prof. Dr. Sabah Mohammed Kalo and the Middle Technical University, represented by its President, Prof. Dr. Waddah Amer Hatem, signed a twinning and joint cooperation agreement to expand the horizons of institutional partnerships and exchange expertise, in line with the development aspirations of Iraqi higher education institutions, this step aims at enhancing scientific cooperation and raising the academic and research level.

The college explained that the agreement was concluded based on both sides' belief in the importance of academic and research integration and an effort to unify efforts in updating curricula for similar specializations, exchanging scientific resources and books in common areas, and organizing training workshops aimed at developing the skills of faculty members and administrative staff, thus contributing to raising the quality of education.

The agreement also stipulates cooperation in the field of summer training and joint supervision of student graduation projects, as well as exchanging the use of laboratories and workshops between the two institutions and organizing joint theoretical lectures for two specialized subjects in advanced study stages, with the adoption of joint examinations for these subjects, which enhances the integration of the educational process and unifies academic evaluation criteria.

The memorandum included an agreement to implement the "Bologna Process" project starting in the 2024-2025 academic year in scientific and engineering disciplines, this will involve exchanging curriculum syllabuses for corresponding departments and organizing a specialized workshop to address the mechanisms and requirements for implementing this process, ensuring the educational system's alignment with international standards.

The agreement also included a joint commitment by both parties to activate fruitful and serious cooperation according to applicable laws and regulations, enhancing the two universities' standing within their academic environment and keeping pace with global developments in the field of higher education.
