Academic Leadership with National Responsibility: A Scientific and Voluntary Initiative by the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences

Based on the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Deanship of Al-Mansour University College (MUC), the Head of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Prof. Dr. Hilal Abdul Karim, supervised a scientific visit to the Ministry of Youth and Sports / Scientific Care Directorate. The visit aimed to review diverse scientific works and innovations by youth and to learn about programs designed to support youth potential and develop their scientific and creative capabilities.
The visit sought to enhance students' awareness of the role government institutions play in incubating innovation and supporting scientific initiatives. It also aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, contributing to the development of a conscious and responsible university personality.
The visit also included voluntary activities, where students and faculty members participated in planting various seedlings and plants around the center. This initiative reflects the Department’s commitment to the culture of volunteerism and environmental responsibility, fostering a spirit of cooperation and teamwork.
On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Hilal Abdul Karim extended his thanks and appreciation to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, represented by the Scientific Care Directorate, for their warm reception, hospitality, and the valuable information provided, which contributed to supporting student awareness and developing their scientific skills.
He also expressed his gratitude to the Deanship of Al-Mansour University College for its guidance and support in enabling this scientific and voluntary activity, which reflects the University's mission to serve the community and build an active and influential generation.
