Competition Conditions
- The video must be original and not copied from any other source.
- The duration of the video clip should not exceed two minutes.
- The content must be in Arabic or translated into Arabic.
- The video must be of high quality (at least HD).
- It should address one of the following topics:
- Protect personal data online.
- How to create strong and secure passwords.
- Phishing methods and how to avoid them.
- The Risks of Sharing Personal Information on the Internet.
- The importance of two-step verification to protect accounts.
- Electronic payment security.
- Other topics related to cyber awareness.
- Avoid any inappropriate or offensive content.
- The video should be accompanied by a brief description that explains the main idea and the most important awareness messages presented.
- Individual or group participation is allowed (maximum 3 people per team).
- The video must contain English subtitles.
- The intellectual property of the video submitted for the competition must be attributable to Al-Mansour University College.
Contestants
The competition is aimed at middle school, university and graduate students, believing that this category represents the true nucleus of building a safe digital society. Individual or group participation is allowed, provided that the number of team members does not exceed three people to ensure clarity of creative roles. The contestant must be committed to academic and ethical behavior while creating the content, and take full responsibility for the accuracy of the technical information contained in the video). From a security perspective, awareness messages should be accurate and not misleading, and should be based on correct concepts in cybersecurity. Participants are also expected to respect privacy and not to use photos or data of people without explicit permission. The committee encourages teams that clearly distribute roles (content researcher, screenwriter, director, editor) to enhance professional quality. Adherence to these conditions reflects the digital maturity and cognitive responsibility of the contestants.
Video Criteria
A video is the final product that reflects your technical awareness and directing ability, so it must be integrated in concept and execution. The video must be fully original, free of any copyrighted audio, video or music reproductions, unless it is officially licensed or from free copyrighted sources. When uploading a video to Google Drive or any cloud storage platform, the organizer must be granted access (Viewer Access) To ensure that it can be downloaded and reviewed without technical barriers. The sound should be clear and noise-free, and the image should be stable and appropriately lit to reflect the professionalism of the production. Cinematically, a clear script, an attractive beginning, a knot that illustrates the problem, and a brief practical solution should be preferred. Accurate English subtitles should be included in sync with the Arabic dialogue. Fast visual rhythm should be considered without over-indulging in effects that may distract the security message.
Evaluation Criteria
The jury adopts precise criteria that ensure fairness and transparency in the selection of the winning works. The video is evaluated according to the clarity of the awareness message, its scientific accuracy, and the extent to which it is relevant to the chosen topic. The element of creativity in the presentation and the ability to attract the attention of the target audience within a short time is also considered. The criteria include the quality of sound and video, adherence to the specified duration, and technical conditions. It also evaluates the effectiveness of the proposed solutions and their practical applicability. The committee seeks to reward works that combine professionalism and societal impact.
Intellectual Property
The competition emphasizes the need to adhere to the highest ethical standards in the production of digital content. The work must be original and not copied or violates intellectual property rights. Any content that is offensive, inappropriate or contrary to societal values must be avoided. Respect for the rights of others in the digital space is an integral part of the concept of cybersecurity. The ownership of the video will be transferred to Al-Mansour University College according to the stated conditions, allowing it to be used for future awareness purposes by College. This legal framework fosters a culture of professionalism and responsibility in media production. Ethical commitment is the foundation of trust in any successful digital initiative.
