In alignment with the directives of the Deanship of Al-Mansour University College (MUC) to enhance scientific and awareness activities across various disciplines, the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems organized a scientific seminar titled "The Negative and Positive Effects of Personal Information Availability in Public Website Databases."
The seminar was presented by faculty member Dr. Faisal Ghazi Bidiwi, who addressed three main themes. In the first, he reviewed the concept of Cloud Computing and mechanisms for storing data on secure, hard-to-penetrate servers. The second theme discussed the potential risks of personal data breaches when stored in less secure environments. The third theme covered methods for storing data in fortified sites possessing advanced infrastructure to protect information databases against any potential threats.
The seminar was held under the patronage of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Sabah Mohammed Kallow, and was attended by department staff, faculty members, and students. This participation added an interactive scientific character to the event, enhancing the practical understanding of information security in the era of digital openness.
